Why was it moved away from the river festival?

Nicely done video of the great fair at the last river festival. 👍 This year's River Festival is rubbish really. Don't bother coming for the fair at the Bedford River Festival this weekend, there's only a few rides from Stanley Thurston, the usual local fun fair. I don't know why, or what's happened, but the promised giant funfair in the usual field is not there, for the first time ever. There's just a few kids inflatables there instead. I've been to nearly every River Festival since it started in 1978, and the big funfair was the main attraction for me. It was always different rides from different showmen. Something different from Thurstons funfair which we see locally regularly. Thurstons never did the river festival, until now. Such a shame, it's nowhere near as good as it was without it.

Got on this ride in MI with the grandparents, and my brother as a kid. The operator went for a smoke break. 😂 Not sure what took him so long to smoke that cigarette, but we were on there awhile. 😂 Usually they go backwards too, only everyone just wanted to be off the ride at that point. 🤣 Still a childhood favorite ride.

Best in the country, miss my days travelling with this machine working for the turner family. Lovely family are the turners, sadly Daisy Turner passed away a few weeks back, rip to a lovely woman.

Hopefully it will come to Oxfordshire in the autumn
